In 2012, I was invited to organize an exhibition with Visionaries & Voices, a Cincinnati-based nonprofit organization that nurtures the artistic talents of individuals with disabilities. Following a coloring book model, I reached out to prominent artists and illustrators to contribute original black and white artwork that was then modified and completed by V&V artists, and vice versa. After much mailing of artwork back and forth, the results were exhibited in the organization’s gallery.
The accompanying catalog is a coloring book featuring all of the the original b/w art. Each chipboard cover is a make-ready covered with layers of test screenprints, overprinted with the book title graphic, making every copy unique. This was sold as a fundraiser for the organization.
